Ramco Systems pares losses
 
Ramco Systems has pared its net loss by 66.96 per cent at Rs 3.36 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2004 against Rs 10.17 crore registered in the corresponding quarter last year.
 
Ramco's total income for the same third quarter of 2004 zoomed 90 per cent to Rs 27.21 crore compared with Rs 14.32 crore that recorded in the third quarter last year.
 
According to a company release, focus on market development with partnerships and integrated sales, marketing and execution resulted in achievement of its growth plans.
 
VirtualWorks, its flagship product's revenues increased by 63 per cent and contributed 79 per cent of overall solutions revenues in the current quarter as against the 55 per cent contribution in the same third quarter in 2003-04.
 
Stone India in the black
 
Stone India Ltd reported improved top line and bottom line for the first nine months of 2004-05, with turnover at Rs 34.32 crore and net profit at Rs 1.93 crore compared with a turnover of Rs 25.28 crore and net loss of Rs 8.4 crore in the first nine months of the last financial year.
 
Turnover of the company for the whole of 2003-04 was Rs 34.45 crore.
 
Shrenuj & Co net up 63%
 
The Mumbai-based diamond company Shrenuj & Co posted a 63.45 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 3.22 crore in the third quarter ended December 2004 from Rs 1.97 crore for the third quarter of the previous year.
 
Sales for the third quarter ended December 2004 went up by 20.78 per cent to Rs 124.69 crore from Rs 103.88 crore for the previous corresponding period.
 
Gross profit before tax, depreciation and interest gone up by 16 per cent to Rs 9.29 crore from Rs 7.99 crore for the previous corresponding period.
 
With this, the sales turnover of the company for the first nine months of the current financial year advanced to Rs 349.11 crore, a growth of 21.10 per cent over the previous corresponding period's Rs 288.10 crore.
 
Wyeth net drops 11%
 
Wyeth has posted a 11.43 per cent dip in net profit to Rs 14.71 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 compared with Rs 16.61 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2003.
