Chandigarh-based Raghav Films will be staging a high-tech Ramlila show this Ram Navmi, which falls on April 6. |
The producer and director of Raghav Film Theatre, Ravinder Kumar Grover, said the project was one of its kind in the region. In the age of Tulsis, Parvatis and Kamolikas, he believes that Lord Rama should also get his due, and the company's venture is to promote the same. |
"It is the first light and sound high-tech Ramlila in north India and the venture is aimed at rebuilding the image and teachings of Lord Rama." |
The government servant, at present working with the Punjab government, said he had become a member of the Ram Leela Society in Chandigarh around eight years back. |
He said he has made efforts to consolidate the efforts of likes of Ramanad Sagar's Ramayana. The 180-minute long project will be a multi-episode and has been made with a total investment of Rs 150,000. |
"Our purpose is to reach the masses. We will have effects like the fire-flashed Laksham Rekha and flying Hanuman. The audience is all set to have a roller coaster ride while watching the show," stated Grover. |
According to him in the original Ramlila the malfunctioning clearly depicts the problem areas of the mechanical theatre which will be overcome via this project. |
Starting from the first maiden show in Chandigarh, Grover has plans to take the show to other parts of Punjab and Haryana. |
