A cloud marketplace is an online platform that provides customers with an access to software applications and services provided by the company.
With this collaboration, Randstad Global IT Solutions, the IT infrastructure services arm of the HR services provider Randstad aims to improve its current IT Infrastructure operations through assets and vendor optimisation, process standardisation, automation and deriving economies of scale.
Last year, Randstad set up an IT shared services centre to help it get on to the next era of business transformation through centralisation of global processes and technology, specifically in the areas of networks leveraging public internet and Data center hosting in the public cloud, the company said.
"Today the disruptive influences of digital technology are providing us with more opportunities to capitalize in our markets. We decided to centralize responsibility for all IT Infrastructure into the new Global IT Shared Service Center (SSC).," said Bernardo Payet, General Manager of Randstad Global IT Solutions.
"In turn the IT SSC was looking for partners to transform the landscape over time, to a fully cloud enabled Future Mode of Operations." Amit Kapur, Director and Head, TCS Benelux, said success in today's world depends on the ability to adapt quickly to new opportunities or changing customer demands.
"This engagement will enable Randstad to significantly boost the agility and scalability of its global IT services, as well as drive efficiencies and economies of scale," he said. "We are taking cloud services delivery to a new paradigm, whereby customers will have all the choices from public cloud marketplace and the benefits of our services wrapped around it enabled through a Global Network Delivery."
Randstad, which has more than 4,600 locations across 39 countries and more than 19 Billion euros in revenues globally, sources talent across a range of industries like accountancy, finance, construction and engineering as well as delivers outsourcing solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Managed Services Programs (MSP).
