A day after the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) permitted Tata-Singapore Airlines to start a full-service carrier in India, former chairman of Tata group Ratan Tata is scheduled to meet commerce & industry minister Anand Sharma today.
Tata met Finance Minister P Chidambaram yesterday after the Board gave its approval.
Tata will have a stake of 51% and Singapore Airlines 49% in the proposed JV. The proposed airlines will take wings only after getting clearance from Home Ministry, Civil Aviation Ministry and Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
