Ratan Tata to visit Hyd on April 8

After a gap of nearly two-and-a-half years, Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata will be in Hyderabad on April 8, 2006. He will take part in the graduation day ceremony of the Indian School of Business to be held on the same day.

Ratan Tata last paid a visit to the city on November 7, 2003, to inaugurate the Deccan Park of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

Though not confirmed yet, his visit this time is expected to coincide with the announcement of TCS's new campus in the city. The state government has already offered about 100 acres to TCS at the proposed IT SEZ near the new international airport.

Though the Tata Group does not have a big presence in Andhra, officials are now hoping to see some investment plans coming from the group in the near future.
