The management of Rayalaseema Paper Mills today sought the support of the state government in its efforts to revive the factory by providing tax concessions and other sops. |
The Board of Industrial Financial Reconstruction(BIFR) had recently cleared a revival package for the mill, which was closed in the year 1997. |

The mill management presented a cheque to the workers' union leaders towards two months salary through the chief minister on this occasion. |
Company managing director V V Satyasai Prasad said that 200 workers would be taken back into work initially and their strength would be increased to 1,000 in a period of one year. |
The company would give 50 per cent salary to those workers who wait for their turn to rejoin the work, he said. |
