Eyeing a significant share in the Rs 800 crore premium women's western-wear market over the next three years, leading suiting fabric producer Raymond today announced a foray in the women's wear segment with the launch of ColorPlus Women. "The company expects Rs 150 crore revenue from the women's wear segment in the next two-three years," chairman and managing director Gautam Hari Singhania said. Raymond will open 175 stores over the next three years to retail the range of ColorPlus apparel which will include day-wear, sports-wear, business-wear as well as formals. By the end of the year, the company wants to open five exclusive ColorPlus stores as well as 12 lifestyle stores. The lifestyle stores will be launched in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad. The company will also be launching ColorPlus Kids, another kids' wear segment like Zapp, by the end of next calendar year, Singhania said. Zapp was launched by Raymond last year. |
