US-based Raytheon, a security solutions company, said it was in talks with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and private airport developers like GMR and GVK groups to deploy airport security systems and solutions at Indian airports
Speaking on the sidelines of India Aviation 2010, Raytheon air traffic management business development manager Robert W Meyer said the company was bidding at eight airports to automate the security systems. It also had plans to set up a training centre for air traffic controllers in the country and was in talks with the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
The company recently got a contract from the AAI to automate air traffic control system at Chennai airport.
