Reliance Communications (RCom), the flagship telecom company of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group today signed an agreement with Etisalat DB for providing infrastructure solutions including tower and transmissions.
In a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), RCom stated that Etisalat DB and its subsidiary would outsource their telecom infrastructure to Reliance Infratel and Reliance communications.
The end-to-end agreement, which is aimed at accelerating Etisalat DB's forthcoming roll-out of telecom services in the country, is for over Rs 10,000 crore for a period of 10 years, the release further stated.
"The agreement presents large cost optimisation benefit with an asset light model improvement in capital productivity and enhances RCom group revenue by Rs 10,000 crore. The agreement is the first and the largest telecom infrastructure sharing in India", said the release.
Etisalat DB is a joint venture between Etisalat and Dynamix Balwas Group.
