The Rs 70-crore expansion project by the city-based Regency Ceramics Limited at its existing unit in Yanam will be commissioned by the end of the current fiscal.
The expansion project will take the company's production capacity to 49,000 square metres per day from the current level of 30,000 square metres per day.
The company is taking a Rs 50 crore loan -- Rs 25 crore each from UTI bank and Exim Bank -- to fund the project, while the rest is being mobilised through internal accruals, said G N Naidu, the managing director of Regency Ceramics.
