Rel ADAG to launch novel entertainment tech

Innomedia Technologies, a media innovation company of Reliance ADAG, is set to launch converged home & office integrated services (CHOIS) - a new technology that could make DTH services obsolete.

"CHOIS technology, which we have been developing for the last decade, is ready for launch within a few days. We will licence it to a few global operators", Mohan Tambe, MD of Innomedia, told PTI.

The CHOIS technology is capable of delivering digital TV channels, personal video recorder, video-on-demand, Internet browsing, VoIP telephony and video serving facility.

CHOIS provides the building blocks for constructing a fully dually-redundant, ethernet everywhere, fibre-to-home network, providing 100 MB bandwidth, he said.

The CHOIS technology has a set-side-box, called CHOISpad, and a Hexa-play device for delivery of services to consumers.(PTI)
