Rel Comm FY07 consolidated net at Rs 3,526cr

Reliance Communications today reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,526.43 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 for a 15-month period.

According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income was Rs 17,440.25 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.

"The previous financial year of the company was for a period of nine months from April 2005 to December 2005. However, with a view to provide more relevant information, the results for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 and 12 months from April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2006 have been compiled and disclosed.

"The results for the fifteen months ended March 31, 2007 include twelve months' operating results of erstwhile Reliance Infocomm for the period from April 1, 2006 to March 31, 2007. Reliance Infocomm was merged into the company with effect from March 31, 2006, and hence, the figures relating to the quarter and fifteen months ended March 31, 2007 are not comparable," the release added.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2007, the group posted a net profit of Rs 1,024.41 crore, and total income of Rs 3,936.91 crore.
