Rel MediaWorks expands facility in UK film processing lab

ADAG firm Reliance MediaWorks today said it has expanded its UK operations with the installation of new facilities enabling the company to handle processing films for Hollywood, British and European producers shooting in the country.

The company has installed high-end neg bath and additional facilities, at ilab, Soho-based film processing facility, enabling the company to now handle processing bonded feature films for Hollywood, British and European producers shooting in the UK, Reliance MediaWorks said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

"We see a strong business opportunity across Europe, which is why we are making significant investments to increase the capacity of our London Lab and enable it to support work on major feature film production as well," Reliance MediaWorks CEO Anil Arjun said.

Reliance MediaWorks offers front-end processing, restoration, 2D to 3D conversion and post production services to broadcaster and studios, the filing added.

Earlier this year, the company had acquired the assets of UK-based ilab.

Shares of Reliance MediaWorks were trading at Rs 183.40 on BSE, up 1.86 per cent from previous close.
