Rel Power IPO subscribed 72 times

The Rs 11,700-crore initial share sale by Anil Ambani's Reliance Power Ltd, which closed on Friday, has been subscribed 72 times.

The retail investor segment was subscribed 16 times. The IPO had generated demand for Rs 752,000 crore - a new record according to data available till 8 pm on Friday.

The qualified institutional bidder (QIB) segment was subscribed over 80 times and high net worth investors portion by 208 times. There were 5.1 million applications.
