REL qualifies to bid for $1bn Bahrain project

Anil Ambani-led Reliance Energy has emerged as a qualified bidder for setting up a $1 billion gas-based power project in Bahrain.

"Reliance Energy has emerged as one of the qualified bidders for setting up a 1,250 MW project in Bahrain," sources told PTI.

The greenfield project would also include a desalination plant, they said.
