The relay strike by Bosch's Adugodi plant workers continued for the fourth day today.
"At yesterday's conciliatory meeting, Additional Labour Commissioner Gurudas Bhatt requested us to join the management for performing Ayudh Pooja. But we decided against it as we were disappointed with his decision for bilateral talks to find solution to our strike," MICO Employees Association (MEA) Executive Committee Member Raghavendra said.
MEA had yesterday also demanded prosecution of the company for "violating" the terms of agreement signed between the management and the association under the provisions of 2009-2012 wage settlement.
It had also announced the intention to intensify its agitation from Friday.
The workers have been on relay hunger strike since October 2 in protest against the company's decision to outsource manufacturing of some products.
Raghavendra contended that the outsourcing issue was dropped from the discussion of 2009-2012 wage settlement.
Bosch had in a statement termed the strike as illegal and in violation of agreement signed in October 2010.
