Reliance Cap Q3 net up 167%

Reliance Capital (RCL) today announced 167 per cent rise in net profit for the quarter ended December 2005 to Rs 65 crore as against Rs 24.38 crore a year ago.
 
In the third quarter, total income of the ADAE group company rose to Rs 82.82 crore from Rs 71.66 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Profit before tax stood at Rs 68.98 crore (Rs 26.18 crore).
 
EPS was Rs 3.13 compared with Rs 1.92 last year, recording a 63 per cent rise.
 
For the nine-month ended December 2005, RCL has reported 257 per cent growth in its net profit at Rs 262 crore (Rs 71 crore), while total assets of the company stood at Rs 3,684 crore.
 
As on December 31, 2005, the company's net worth was approximately Rs 3,600 crore. However, on conversion of the outstanding equity warrants, this figure would rise to Rs 4,300 crore, a press release said.
