Reliance Energy Q3 net spurts 151%

Reliance Energy has recorded a 151% rise in net profit to Rs 134.22 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2004 as compared to Rs 53.41 crore in the same period last fiscal.

According to a release issued to the BSE, the total income has increased 26% to Rs 1134.75 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 from Rs 899.94 crore in Q3-03.

The board of directors of the company at their meeting held on January 19, 2005 have approved payment of quarterly dividend of Rs 1.10 (11%) per equity share of the company.
