Reliance increases Jamnagar capacity

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has increased the capacity of its Jamnagar refinery to 33 million tonne from 30 million tonne.
 
The capacity of the refinery was increased after its crude distillation unit was revamped last month, P Raghavendran, president of RIL's refining business, told newsmen on the sidelines of an oil and gas conference here today.
 
"RIL sells some 13.1 million tonnes of its products to state retailing companies. The company will export 5.5 million tonnes of diesel and 3 million tonnes of gasoline in 2003-04," Raghavendran said.
 
Last year, the company had exported 4.5 million tonnes of diesel and three million tonnes of gasoline.
