Reliance Industries may start production of gas from D-6 block in the Krishna-Godavari basin by October end, Petroleum Secretary R S Pandey told reporters today.

"Production has been slightly delayed. I am told there are some technical glitches", Pandey said.

Reliance was supposed to start producing the gas from June this year. The production has also been held up because the company is fighting a case in the Bombay High Court with the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group company Reliance Natural Resources Limited over the supply of gas from the block.
