Reliance Infrastructure has posted a net profit of Rs 405.25 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, rises 10.16% as compared to Rs 367.87 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year, according to a rellease filed with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total Income has increased 11.20% to Rs 3,871.64 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 from Rs 3,481.47 crore for the same quarter a year ago.
The company said its board had approved a share buyback at not more than Rs 725 a share. It would spend up to Rs 1,000 crore for the buyback.
At 13:57 pm, the shares of Reliance Infrastructure were trading up 2.54% at Rs 631.35 on the BSE.
