Reliance Power Q4 net profit flat at Rs 269 crore

Reliance Power today reported an almost flat growth in net profit at Rs 269 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014.

The company had posted a profit after tax of Rs 266 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013, Reliance Power said in a statement.

Total Income of the company increased from Rs 1,264.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 to Rs 1,399.55 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2014.

The company's annual net profit stood at Rs 1,027 crore as against a net profit of Rs 1,011 crore during the last fiscal (2012-13), Reliance Power said in a statement.
 

Total income of the company increased to Rs 5,546 crore, during the period, from Rs 5,284 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal (2012-13).

The company's Rosa power plant in Uttar Pradesh generated 8.15 billion units.

The company also said the three units of 660-MW power capacity have been commissioned at the Sasan Ultra Mega Power Plant, in Madhya Pradesh, taking the capacity of the plant to 1,980 MW.

The other three units of the plant will be commissioned in the current year.

The 20 million tonnes per annum Sasan Coal mines is already operational, the statement said.

The 600-MW Butibori power plant is now fully operational and supply has commenced to R-Infra Mumbai distribution licensee under 25 years long term PPA approved by MERC.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 85.90, up 9.85 per cent on the BSE.
