Reliance Industries is likely to repair and restart the fire-damaged secondary oil processing unit at its Jamnagar refinery in a few days.

"The damage is a very small cost... We will restart the unit within the next few days," P Raghavendran, president (refineries) of RIL, said here.

He, however, refused to specify a date.

One of Jamnagar refinery's vacuum gas oil units, which removes sulphur from oil products, was shut on October 25 after a fire broke out.

Raghavendran said there has been no production loss due to the fire and the refinery was producing LPG at its normal capacity of 7,200 tonne per day.

The fire had no impact on major equipments. The company had earlier stated that it was utilising capacity at a second hydro treater to ensure stable production.
