Religare Enterprises today announced the appointment of Gary Lilley as the chief executive of Religare Capital Markets (RCML) for its North America operations.

RCML, the investment banking arm of Religare Enterprises, names Lilley as CEO for North America, Religare Enterprises said in a statement.

Lilley has over 25 years of investment banking experience, most recently at Morgan Stanley, where he was Head of Asian Equity Sales to US clients.

"Gary's experience and deep buy-side relationships will be invaluable as we accelerate delivery of our specialist offering to clients in the region," RCML CEO Martin Newson said.

Last year RCML had acquired the UK operations of South Africa-based investment bank Barnard Jacobs Mellet and also bought the Hong Kong-based research platform of Aviate Global (Asia).

RCML is now present in 10 countries and has 260 staff, including over 40 analysts covering a broad range of industry sectors, investment themes and macro-economics.
