French car-maker Renault on Tuesday launched its premium SUV Koleos in Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad. It has plans to launch a small car and two new models in the domestic market by 2012.
Launching Koleos, Len Curran, vice president (sales and marketing), Renault India, said, “We have plans to launch five cars in the Indian market by the end of 2012.” It would be launching three new cars, including a small car, in the Indian market by 2012.
Renault, which came to the country through a tie-up with the Mahindras earlier, had exited from the JV in April 2010, and made its solo debut in the domestic market with the premium sedan Fluence in May.
“We are highly optimistic about the product and are confident it will cater to the needs of all the customers, who are looking for a premium SUV,” he added.
