French car brand Renault today unveiled a new variant of the Kwid equipped with 1000cc petrol engine.
The Kwid which is currently powered by a 800cc petrol engine has been a runaway success with collective bookings of more than 100,000 units within 4 months.
The 1000cc Kwid follows its competition such as Hyundai Eon and Maruti Suzuki Alto both of which were introduced with a 1 litre petrol engines. Renault said it will launch the 1 litre Kwid later this year and prices will be announced at the time of launch.
The company also showcased concepts of the Kwid here at the Auto Expo. These included a Racer concept.
