Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd (RGPPL) today signed a Comprehensive Service Agreement (CSA) with GE Energy to repair and run the power equipment of the erstwhile Dabhol power plant. GE Energy will continue to work closely with RGPPL for a successful revival of the Dabhol plant as quickly as possible. The agreement will include power availability guarantees for GE's power generation equipment, repairs and supply of spare parts.
“The success of the Dabhol power project is critical to support India's energy needs and we are totally focused on helping RGPPL to revive the plant and maintain it as a reliable source of electricity,” John Krenicki, GE vice-chairman and president and CEO of GE Energy, said in a press release.
