Ricoh India to invest Rs 250 cr for expansion this year

The company today inaugurated its toner bottling facility at the plant

Japanese imaging solutions and IT services provider Ricoh Company's Indian subsidiary plans to invest Rs 250 crore during this year on expanding its Indian business, a top company official said here today.

Besides, the company plans to develop its Gandhinagar facility as a multi-faceted facility that would house toner bottling operations, logistics operations, machine refurbishing, thermal media production line as well as learning and development initiatives.

Of the net Rs 250 crore investment proposal, around Rs 20-25 crore would be invested in the Gandhinagar facility for the expansion purpose, Manoj Kumar, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Ricoh India informed.

The rest of the investment is planned in the company's in-house finance schemes, different offices, logistics operations etc.

Ricoh India which makes production printing and laser printers, multi-functional printers etc apart from offering IT services and solutions, has a customer base of around 200,000 clients.
