Is now offering three new models of laser printers and A4 multi function printers.
Ricoh India Limited, a subsidiary of Ricoh Company Limited, Japan, (a US$ 22 billion company) player in imaging solutions, announced its aggressive expansion plans into the fast emerging laser printer market in India. It has unveiled three new models of laser printers and A4 multi function printers (MFPs): the SP 1210N, SP 1200SF and SP 1200S.
SP 1210N is a single function network laser printer priced at Rs 9,900, SP1200S functions as a printer, scanner and copier with a standard automatic document feeder (ADF), priced at Rs 11000, SP1200SF is a A4 MFP that prints, scans, copies and faxes, priced at Rs 17,000, SP1200SF model includes PC faxing option.
Both SP1200SF and SP1200S have features such as 36 bit colour scanning, ID copy and unauthorised copy control. All models have print speed of 22 pages per minute and other applications such as toner save mode, front access, and printing of multiple pages into one sheet making which makes these models suitable for small and medium enterprises.
“The total market size of the laser printer in India is pegged at 13.4 lakh units and is growing at the rate of more than 12 per cent annually. Ricoh India already has a wide range of laser printers, both single function and A4 MFPs, in black and white and colour, which can cater to the diverse needs and applications of our customers. In some specific models in mid and high end printers from our existing models, Ricoh is offering a guaranteed print cost, a unique maintenance option by which the customer pays a fixed charge for each print or copy, irrespective of the coverage area," said Tetsuya Takano, managing director and chief executive officer, Ricoh India Limited.
In addition to the company's existing partners, it now plans to expand its channel presence by appointing over 200 enterprise partners and system integrators in FY’11.
