Ricoh launches A4 series printers

To grab a larger share of the office automation market, printing company Ricoh India today launched a new range of printers in the country priced at Rs 1,25,000 and Rs 12,000.     

The printers mark Ricoh's foray in the office A4 segment.     

"The market size for A4 machine is growing at around 21 per cent per annum. With the launch, Ricoh will be well positioned to take care of the complete range of printing and document management requirements," Ricoh India Managing Director N Maitra said.     

In a scenario where for every A3 machine over 10 A4 machines are sold, Ricoh India has introduced a wide range of products to address customer need — from multi-function to single function printers.     

 

Ricoh India, which is a 73.6 per cent owned subsidiary of Japan's  Ricoh Co, has over 45,000 customers in India out of which 52 per cent are government entities.     

With the launch of the A4 series the company is eyeing the small and medium enterprises.     
"After establishing itself as a market leader in the A3 multi-functional printer segment, now the company aims  to help small workgroups to become more productive," Ricoh Company General Manager Tetsuo Okochi said.     

The new A4 series comes with features such as network- readines, robust security features and duplex printing.
