National Aluminium Company Limited's (Nalco's) net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2018, surged 433 per cent to Rs 6.87 billion as against Rs 1.29 billion achieved in the comparable period of last fiscal.

On a quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) basis, Nalco's net profit rose 167 per cent. The company ascribed the sharp appreciation in net profit to its alumina segment.
