RIL buys back 28.69 lakh shares so far

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) today bought 2 lakh shares for Rs 10.15 crore under its ongoing buyback programme.

The company has so far purchased over 28.69 lakh shares for about Rs 149.62 crore.

Today, RIL bought back 2 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 507.68 a share,the company informed the stock exchanges.

The total value of the shares bought back today amounted to Rs 10.15 crore.

This is the 10th day of the Ril's buyback programme, the biggest ever by any Indian corporate so far. The approved price of the buyback is up to Rs 570 and the company has earmarked a sum of Rs 2,990 crore for the purpose.

Till last week, the company had purchased 26.7 lakh shares for about Rs 139.47 crore.
