Reliance Gas Ltd, which is part of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), Indian Oil Corporation and Adani Energy Ltd are among eight companies that have bid, either on their own or in a consortium, for building city gas distribution (CGD) networks in seven cities, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) said today.
Seventeen bids have come for the rights to build CGD networks in seven cities. These are Jhansi, Allahabad, Ghaziabad and Chandigarh in the north, Shahdol in central India, and Yanam and Rajahmundry in the south. The board has extended the bidding date by a month for Jhansi, Shahdol and Yanam, as it had got only single bids for the rights.
