RNRL net profit rises 1.76% to Rs 24 crore

Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Natural Resources (RNRL) posted a marginal increase of 1.76 per cent in its third quarter net profit raising it to Rs 24.21 crore compared with Rs Rs 23.79 crore in the year-ago period. Total operating income rose to Rs 137.71 crore for the quarter as against Rs 40.73 crore for the same period last year.

As on December 31, 2008, the company’s net worth has increased to Rs 1,791 crore, it said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange. RNRL is primarily engaged in sourcing, supply and transportation of gas, coal and liquid fuels.

Crompton Greaves net up 49% in Q3

 

Mumbai-based diversified company, Crompton Greaves has posted a consolidated net profit increase of 49 per cent at Rs 123.22 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 82.71 crore posted in the same quarter a year ago. Net sales of the company grew by 25 per cent at Rs 2,149.80 crore for the reporting quarter as compared to Rs 1,713.51 crore posted in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Share price of the company grew 0.04 per cent on the Bombay stock Exchange at Rs 130 per share as compared to its yesterday’s close of Rs 129.95 per share.

JB Chemicals net grows 33% to Rs 14 crore

Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company JB Chemicals & Pharmaceutical (JBCPL) has posted an increase of 33 per cent in net profit at Rs 14.24 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 as against Rs 10.67 crore reported in the same quarter a year ago. Net sales of the company rose to Rs 219.97 crore for the reporting quarter, up 58 per cent as compared to Rs 139 crore posted in the year-ago period.
