Upbeat on expanding presence in the Indian market, premiere engine manufacturer Rolls Royce has said it will deliver 60 water jets for a new fleet of 20 Fast Patrol Vessels of the Indian Coast Guard this year.
"India is a key market for Rolls-Royce. We continue to develop our manufacturing and engineering-services presence here through mutually beneficial collaborations with companies.
We also continue to support the Indian Armed Forces and will deliver 60 Rolls-Royce water jets for a new fleet of 20 Fast Patrol Vessels for the Indian Coast Guard," said Anil Shrikhande President Rolls-Royce India.
Recently, the company announced a construction facility in Bangalore for manufacturing aerospace components for the Trent family of engines.
"We are proud to be a partner in progress and look forward to continuing to deliver excellence for our customers in India during 2012," Shrikhande said.
Roll Royce has posted a profit of 1.16 billion pounds in 2011, up up 21% from the previous year.
Its revenues during the year increased by 5% to 11.3 billion pounds while its order book stood at 62.2 billion pounds.
