IT solutions provider Rolta and enterprise application software major SAP signed a strategic OEM (original equipment manufacturer) agreement under which Rolta will integrate numerous industry solutions with platform technology from SAP.
The scope of the agreement covers numerous solution suites, including Rolta OneView suite, Rolta geospatial fusion suite, Rolta iPerspective suite and Rolta OT-IT Integration suite.
"We are very pleased to partner and work with SAP, leveraging its technology to continuously innovate and provide feature-rich Rolta products to our customers," Rolta chairman and chief executive K K Singh said after announcing the tie here late last evening.

This partnership will enable customers, including SAP's large existing customer base, to enhance their use of SAP technologies by exploiting the power of Rolta's state-of-the-art solutions, he said.
As part of the collaboration, Rolta will provide customers across the world with business analytics and big data solutions designed to exploit the power of SAP technology by combining Rolta's products with the database and technology portfolio offered by SAP.
The portfolio, which includes the SAP HANA platform among others, will be embedded in Rolta's solutions, the company said.
The solutions will be integrated with SAP HANA and tailor- made to address an organisation's specific needs in areas like oil and gas, chemicals, utilities, manufacturing and transportation, etc, Singh said.
While Rolta will be able to independently sell a broad range of SAP platform technology with its products at a global level, the partnership will enable customers to take advantage of the combined solutions, he said.
"SAP is committed to expanding innovation with our partners. We provide openness and choice for our partners to build their own solutions based on their unique expertise on top of our platforms," said SAP Global Ecosystem & Channels chief operating officer and head of OEM sales Steven Birdsall.
Rolta has core expertise in domain content and powerful analytics for niche verticals, he said adding, "their focus on IP-driven solutions, rather than pure-play services, is an ideal fit for SAP's ecosystem strategy to help bring value to its customers worldwide".
