Royal Classic Mills exports likely to rise by 15%

Royal Classic Mills, manufacturers of classic polo shirts, today said its exports would go up by 15% this year.

R Sivaram executive director of Royal Classic Mills, said: "The exports of Rs 100 crore last year is likely to touch Rs 115 crore during the current fiscal."

Already, the company had exported apparel worth Rs 72 crore upto November, Sivaram added.

The Tirupur-based apparel exporter's current turnover which stood at Rs 225 crore, is expected to cross Rs 500 crore by 2007, when it would come out with an IPO, he said.

For the first time, the company had entered the inner wear segment in a big way and had launched five brands of men inner wear, including two premium brands, he said.
