Premium income rose to Rs 600.58 crore against Rs 460.85 crore in 2005-06, recording a growth of 30.32 per cent. |
Of the total premium written in 2006-07, personal insurance contributed Rs 391 crore, representing a growth of 40 per cent, while commercial insurance contributed Rs 210 crore. |
Motor insurance contributed 51 per cent of the total premium written, while fire and engineering segments contributed 22 per cent. Accident and health segments contributed 21 per cent and around 8 per cent of total premium was contributed by the rural business. |
