RPP infra to execute Rs 100 cr road project in Africa

Construction firm RPP Infra today said it has entered into a joint venture (JV) in West Africa with a Gabonese company, Resurgent Gabon, for a road project worth Rs 100 crore.

"RPP Infra Projects has entered into Central West Africa with a joint venture with Resurgent Gabon...The JV has won a prestigious special economic zone (SEZ) project at KNOK, Gabon worth Rs 1 billion," the company said in a statement.

As part of the contract, RPP Infra would implement a six-lane access road across the SEZ project at KNOK, Gabon, the company said, adding it would lay cost-affective highly durable metal top road using state-of-the-art technique.

 

The Hyderabad-headquartered company has experience in executing similar SEZ projects for ELCOT which would include Coimbatore, Madurai, Thirunelveli, Trichi and Hosur in Tamil Nadu.

It is also currently developing a township with 900 units for National Thermal Power Corporation at Ennore Tamil Nadu on 30 acres of land.

The current order position of the company stands at Rs 854 crore to be executed over 18 months.
