RPR Infra forms JV with African firm

RPP Infra Projects Ltd has entered into a joint venture with Resurgent Gabon, a construction company in Gabon, a state of West Central Africa. As part of the contract, RPP Infra would implement a six-lane access road across a special economic zone in Gabon.

The project would involve an investment of Rs 100 crore, the company said in a filing to the NSE on Tuesday

It would lay cost-effective highly durable metal top roads. The company expects to complete the project in eight months.

“RPP Infra expects this project would act as a case study highlighting RPP Infra's experience and capabilities in adhering to quality and on time delivery in time bound projects and also would be able to showcase this project in securing further projects in Gabon,” said the statement.

 

RPP Infra, based in Erode district of Tamil Nadu, is engaged in infrastructure development for SEZ projects, water management and irrigation projects, power projects, building and townships. It is currently developing SEZ projects for Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Ltd (Elcot) in Coimbatore, Madurai, Thirunelveli, Trichi and Hosur in Tamil Nadu.The current order position of the company stands at Rs 854 crore to be executed over 18 months.
