In order to create awareness among the end-users about the electrical standards and electrical safety, Baroda-based R R Kabel has initiated an awareness drive in Haryana. R R Group Managing Director Tribhuvan Prasad Kabra said their team would travel across the state in 10 days, covering 40 villages and 10 cities at the dealers’ outlets and would apprise the end-users about the difference between sub-standard and quality product.
The awareness drive called Ram Rattan Rath Yatra has already covered Uttar Pradesh and would cover Punjab after Haryana with plans to cover the whole of India.
He added that fire accidents were common in India. Electrical short circuit was the major cause. “Improper, cheap, substandard electrical wiring, borne out of our callousness and utter disregard for safety and life, leads to such fires,” Kabra said.
He said,”Globally there is a strong awareness about the importance of proper electrical standards. There is a constant effort to not only ensure compliance with specified standards, but also try to improve upon the electrical safety, as technological advancements are made.”
