New Delhi-based Ansals group has decided to invest Rs 300 crore in a new project, the Ansal Multiplex Mall, located in Ferozpur Road, Ludhiana.

"This new multiplex will be completed within two years. Work will start shortly on the project. The multiplex will have four PVR cinemas, a super market, an international food chain, and three-star hotels with 60 rooms each," Suneal Mangal, director, Ansal Plaza Mall Management Company, told Business Standard.

"The company will spend Rs 100 crore on the Ansal mall, which will house international brands like Nike, Reebok, Lee Cooper, Levis, Lee, Wrangler, Pepe, Arrow etc.," he said, adding that the upcoming multiplex mall would provide a huge assortment of food options, pubs and cafes.

"Food courts, spread across 10,000 sq ft, will offer a leisure hub for the whole family. Besides Ludhiana, the Ansals group will come up with malls in Jalandhar and Mohali. The Jalandhar mall, costing around Rs 40 crore, is under construction at present, and will be operational from next year," Mangal added.

The Ludhiana mall would serve as a trendy place, providing shoppers with much needed variety, he said.

"The mall has been designed by a team of young architects, who are pioneers in their field. Proper utilisation of space area has been done, giving the mall a beautiful look. Consumers find it extremely convenient to have all the international brands under one roof," he added.
