Kolkata based Subhash Projects & Marketing Ltd. (SPML) has bagged orders worth Rs 309 crore. |
The SPML orders are to be executed in Karnataka and Bihar. |
SPML is a leading EPC player and the orders cumulatively worth Rs 309 crore are all for execution of power projects. |
These include projects worth Rs 220 crore to be executed for Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd and Hubli Electricity Supply Company Ltd in Karnataka and Rs 89 crore for Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) in Bihar on a turnkey basis. |
The scope of work in Karnataka includes upgradation of existing sub stations, construction of 220/110/66 KV substations and transmission lines. |
The order from PGICL in Bihar involves construction of new underground cabling as well as revamp of existing lines under the APDRP Phase"�II. |
The completion period for all the projects will be 6 -18 months. |
SPML has been in the power business since 2001 and is one of the foremost players to participate in the rural electrification drive. Today, its power business contributes to around half of its total order book, currently at Rs 2900 crore. |
Subhash Sethi, vice-chairman of SPML, said the company was keen to build on competencies in the power sector. "With every successful project we win and execute, we will build on our experience in this sector, enabling us to bring in the power revolution in India", he added. |
