Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has recorded production figures of hot metal, crude steel and saleable steel above the rated capacity in the April-July period of this fiscal.
The steel plant produced 0.747 million tonnes of hot metal, 0.709 million tonnes of crude steel and 0.683 million tonnes of saleable steel corresponding to 112 per cent, 112 per cent and 122 per cent of rated capacity.
Incidentally, these are best ever production figures for any April-July period of the plant since its inception.
The plant has recorded a growth of three per cent, seven per cent and eight per cent over the same period of previous fiscal in hot metal, crude steel and saleable steel respectively.
