Rudrapur to get its first 5-star hotel

A five-star hotel, the first in Kumaon region, is coming up in the Rudrapur area, the industrial hub of Uttarakhand, with an investment of Rs 100 crore.

The hotel, being set up by Doon Valley Technopolis Pvt Ltd, a newly floated joint venture of two real estate companies "" Assotech Ltd and Supertech Ltd, will be constructed in 24 months. Doon Valley Technopolis will design, equip and furnish the hotel with large conference, banqueting facilities and 120 rooms.

The hotel will be named as "Radisson Hotel Metropolis Rudrapur" under the License Agreement and Management Right with Radisson Brand of Carlson Hotels Worldwide and the company will bank on their worldwide marketing network, management and technical operations.

"We will offer distinct services and amenities to provide complete satisfaction to their guests with variety of rooms and suites," said Sanjeev Srivastava, managing director, Assotech Ltd.
