Sahara City Homes to have Radisson Hotels

Sahara India Club Royale Corporation Ltd, the hotel business wing of Sahara Infrastructure and Housing (SIH), has entered into a 'Management and Licence Agreement' with the Carlson Hotels Worldwide, the global hospitality services company, to establish Radisson Hotel at Sahara City Homes, Lucknow.

Situated in the Sahara City Homes-Lucknow Township, the hotel will be called 'Radisson Hotel Lucknow Sahara City Homes'.

Speaking on the occasion, KB Kachru, Executive vice president, Carlson Hotels Worldwide (South Asia) said, "Our tie up with SIH has struck the right cord and we are happy to mark our presence in this city."

The hotel will be constructed and owned by Sahara India Royale Corporation Ltd and will operate under a license from Radisson Hotels International. The construction will start shortly and will be operational by the first quarter of 2010. The investment on the project is about Rs 100 crores.

"The hotel will be the largestin the city. Besides excellent facilities, it will have service apartments attached to it," informed Dibeyendu Banerjee, CEO (Hotels), Sahara City Homes and Sahara Infrastructure and Housing.

The hotel will be spread over an area of 3.68 acre and would have about 135 rooms and 15 services apartments. Among other facilities offered by the hotel are three banquet halls which can accommodate 800 guests, a high end retail outlet at its premises and a parking facility for approximately 200 vehicles.

The 'Radisson Hotel Lucknow Sahara City Homes' is the part of Sahara Infrastructure and Housing's self sufficient Sahara City Homes Township. This premium township is party of the township chain to be developed by Sahara in 217 cities across India.

The construction at City Homes in Lucknow is in full swing and the possession of property will begin in 2009 for them. A total of 30 blocks are under construction. These 30 blocks will house 1620 residential units. The construction of other blocks will commence by the end of this quarter.
