Pune-based Sahyadri Industries Ltd. (SIL), a BSE listed company, has recently introduced two new green products for the building and construction industry in Gujarat. These products include Ecopro cellulose fiber cement boards and Ecopro demountable partition walls.

“Keeping in mind the recurring shortage of labour and light weight sustainable solutions, the company has introduced two new green products for the building and construction industry. We are sure that our market reach will grow with these new products as these materials are much sought after by builders, interior decorators and architects. With this launch we are committed to strengthen our network and increase our customer base in Gujarat,” said Satyen Patel, Managing Director, Sahyadri Industries Ltd. said speaking at the launch of the ‘Gujarat Dealers Meet’ recently held at Daman.

Ecopro cellulose fiber cement boards are made for various applications like false ceilings, dry wall partition, paneling, duct covering and mezzanine floors. Ecopro boards are made of cement, cellulose fiber, silica and fly ash. They are available in various sizes and thickness at the western and southern parts of India.

Ecopro demountable partition walls are designed keeping in mind the requirement for fast track dry walls' partitions and wall solutions. They are made of 100 per cent recycled paper honey comb core and 6 mm fiber cement board skin from both sides framing with option of PVC or wood from all around. “The company has been able to maintain its leadership position in Gujarat as well as in other parts of the country in terms of brand image and market share," added Jayesh P. Patel, chairman of Sahyadri Industries Ltd.

Sahayadri Industries is a leading brand known for its roofing sheets (A C sheets) sold under the brand name of 'Swastik' in the western, southern and central parts of India. The group also has a presence in the windmill power projects and the construction business.
