Steel Authority of India today reported a 28% dip in net profit for the quarter ended March 31 at Rs 1,507.12 crore.
The company had recorded Rs 2,084.90 crore net profit in the corresponding quarter last year.
The total income of the company during January-March quarter of 2010-11 was at Rs 12,166.43 crore, marginally lower than Rs 12,229.76 crore in the same quarter in the previous fiscal, the company said in a statement.
