SAIL takes up empowerment programmes

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is striving to improve the living condition of people residing around its plants and units. The SAIL unit at Ranchi has taken various activities to improve the living condition of the people, especially tribal and weaker sections of the society.

Recently the SAIL unit at Ranchi adopted two such programmes- training programme on tailoring and embroidery and installation of Phaco Machine for cataract operation.

As a part of its economic empowerment programme for women, SAIL Ranchi has organised a training programme on tailoring & embroidery in association with RK Mission TB Sanatorium, Tupudana, near Ranchi for 3 months.

 

The training programme has been inaugurated by Seema Mathur, President, Ispat Mahila Samaj. She advised the participants to take full advantage of this programme and learn all aspects of tailoring and embroidery.
