Samsonite angles for the critical 'mass'

 The company is hoping it low-end range of products, under the American Tourister brand, will help it garner a greater market share in the tier B and C cities.

 Samsonite will launch the complete range of American Tourister, which comprises nearly 350 different bags, by November 2003.

 The company, which is the market leader in metros, is hoping to nudge its market share up from 18 per cent to 30 per cent in fiscal 2004. The company is also aiming to drive up its turnover from Rs 147 crore in 2003 to Rs 187 crore
